The ties that bind
Have you ever been so tired that you cried? I'm tired and fed up with everything to the point of tears. I need sleep.

But I'm drinking a big cup of coffee and I have to pull myself together.

I'm meeting Eric's father for the first time in one hour.

We're a little nervous.

Okay, that's an understatement, We're really nervous.

I hope this encounter goes well.

Ive been so tired I have not only cried but become hysterical. Oh the joy of sleep disorders!

Good luck with the meeting! It will go well. How could he not like the two of you?

Beautiful picture too, you really have an amazing eye.

Good luck.

I'm American and I married a Korean woman. Meeting her parents for the first time was one of the most stressful moments in my life to that point. Feeling unsure about the language/culture only makes a tense situation a bit more tense.

Keep in mind that his father is probably a bit nervous, too.

I hope your visit goes/went well. it is stressful, especially when tired. And remember, after this long of a time, even if it goes well, it's not going to be an Oprah moment. Even a smile or nod or a 'I hope we stay in touch' is a good sign.

Hey Clarity - I hope the visit went well.
Also wanted to say that I LOVED the pictures of the snow - they're beautiful. It never snows properly here, and I miss it. Thanks.

I hope the visit went fine. Remember, although you and he will probably like each other, it's not obligatory!
Meaning, don't take it badly if he is polite but lacks the warmth and qualities you see in your own father.

I love that picture! At first I couldn't tell what was happening. It looked like he was just holding your hand and you had seven fingers! Then I realized he was holding your hand and his other hand was wrapped around yours!

Sorry, I been drinking.

I just wanted to wish you good luck with his dad and everything thats been going on in your life.
